Retina Diseases

Diseases of the retina fall into many different categories.

Each of them have their own characteristics and forms of treatment.

Macular Degeneration has two basic forms - wet and dry - with both affecting the ability to clearly see fine details.

A torn or Detached Retina is a potentially serious condition that can lead to total blindness in the affected eye. Diabetic Retinopathy, as its name implies, is related to damage to a patient's retina related to the person's duration and severity of diabetes.

There are a variety of other retinal problems, which each have their own distinct impacts on vision - and requirements for distinct forms of treatment. These include Vascular Occlusions, Ocular Tumors, Macular Holes, Uveitis Inflammation and Epiretinal Membranes.
